Choose Ye a Good Name!

"A Good Name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and Loving favour rather than silver and gold. The rich and the poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all." (Proverbs 22: 1-2)

A Good Name is rather to be chosen than great riches!

Jesus asked the rich young ruler: "Why callest thou Me Good?" He also went on to say: "There is none good but One, that is, God".

Jesus, as all true Believers know, was God in the form of a man; born of a woman, and came into this dimension in the form of sin, in order to put down sin.

Brother Branham has told us: Sin is simply: unbelief. Those things that people call sin are actually the attributes of unbelief. Beloved; if we truly possessed the Holy Ghost, then we would have no desire to do them.

And without the Holy Ghost, there is no Eternal Life: for the Holy Ghost is Eternal Life! And Brother Branham told us, that there is only one form of Eternal Life! – God!

Now, let’s take that one step further.

Did not brother Paul say: "But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, (there's the key) He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by the Spirit that dwelleth in you." (Romans 8: 11)

So without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, there’s no way an individual without It, is going to be in the Rapture.

As the Word of God has shown us; if the Eternal Spirit is not dwelling in us, (before the Saints come forth from their graves,) then there is no way to be quickened into a new body without His Spirit.

It's just that simple!

He didn't say if we did good works, or had good intentions dwelling in us, that they shall quicken us from the dead - no! The only Thing that will take us in the Rapture is the Holy Ghost!

How does one receive the Holy Ghost?

Peter, on the day of Pentecost was asked the very same question. He said: "Repent (that was the first step – of course, in order to repent, there is need to believe and confess that Jesus Christ is LORD) and (the next step was to) be baptised every one of you (how?) In the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of The Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call." (Acts 2: 38-39)

Peter's instruction is just as good today as it was on the Day of Pentecost!

No where in the Bible was anyone ever baptised, but in the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Even in Chapter 19 when Paul met a number of Believers who said they had already been baptized before, but they had not heard of the Holy Ghost, let alone received It, were asked, "unto what where you baptized?" And when they heard that they needed to be baptized all over again, they where baptized in the Name of the LORD Jesus and immediately, "the Holy Ghost came upon them" (Acts 19: 1-6)

Philip and Ethiopian; when the Eunuch asked him: "here is water, what doth hinder me?" (Acts 8: 26-40) also there is a group of Gentile Believers who received the Holy Ghost even as the Word was preached by Peter and they too where all baptized in the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ. (Acts 10: 44-48) and there are other cases as well such as Cornelius and his family. (Acts 10:1-48)

The doctrine of baptizing by sprinkling and using titles came in to being at Council of Nicea. That initiated the beginning of the Dark Ages. However, as time went on, God began to restore His Word; churches began to receive more Revelation from God, and as a result, they began to break away from Rome; (the mother church,) and set up their own denominations. But, unfortunately they kept the doctrine of baptizing in titles.

However; up till now God winked at that, but now He is calling for a total separation from all the man made doctrines, creeds and dogmas. He’s calling forth His Bride, who will be just like Him (I John 3: 2) and She will only worship Him; not only in Spirit, but also in Truth.

What is Truth? – Even Pontius Pilate asked that question. (We know there, is only One Truth!)

Jesus could have told him, but He did not cast His Pearls before swine. - However, there where others who asked Him. And Jesus said: I AM the Truth! (John 14:6)

"A Good Name is rather to be chosen than..." being sprinkled in the titles of Father Son and Holy Ghost.

This is very similar to a Marriage!

Jesus commanded us to do everything in His Name. When we pray, we are to ask abundantly, that our joys may be full. But always in His Name: “ A Good Name…”

Question: When does a bride have full access to her fiancés bank account: before or after they are married?

Once she is married, then she has equal rights to all the rights he possesses. A woman/bride, is not a man’s wife until she takes on his name in the act of marriage. Thus, the act of Baptism in the Name of our LORD Jesus Christ in one sense is like the act of Marriage. From that point onwards, She is no longer His Bride; She has become His Wife!

Please note: Water Baptism does not save a person, but, the act of Baptism is simply an outward sign to the world that God has done something wonderful within their Soul. The very act testifies to everyone, just like the vows in a wedding, that they are going to remain faithful unto the day of Redemption!

An excellent Message to read or listen to, is called "A Greater Than Solomon Is Here". Brother Branham delivered this wonderful Message of God Eleven times. The last time was in Dallas Texas on the 6th of March 1964. You can obtain a free copy at hassle free.

God bless you;
